Mitzvah Projects

Recognizing the potential significance of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebration in the lives of Jewish preteens, Areyvut is committed to providing young men and women with innovative opportunities to enhance their Bar or Bat Mitzvah celebration by actively participating in challenging, community-based projects.

Understanding that each preteen is unique, Areyvut works with program participants to design and implement projects that cater to each child’s interests and personal development goals.  Areyvut aims to ignite a lifelong commitment to social justice, charity and kindness.

Additionally, Areyvut invites Bnai Mitzvah students and their parents to attend several chesed and volunteering fairs throughout the year.  By attending these fairs, the teenagers are able to speak with representatives from a variety of organizations and learn more about agencies that are of particular interest to them.  Please check our upcoming events regularly to find out when the next fair will be in your area.

Areyvut staff works with each Bnai Mitzvah student to create a unique project that suits his or her personality.  Past projects include: fundraising bike-a-thon, father-son charity baseball game, toy collection drives and much more.
