Are you a student in the 8th, 9th or 10th grade?

Are you interested in philanthropy and giving back to your community?

Join us at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades for the Teen Philanthropy Institute (TPI) Information Session. It will give you and your parents an opportunity to learn more about the TPI program, meet with past participants and program facilitators.

The goal of the TPI is to foster a new generation of committed, influential leaders who embrace the Jewish values of chesed (kindness), tzedakah (charity), and tikkun olam (social justice). Participants gain valuable leadership skills, form bonds with socially conscious Jewish peers, and learn how to make a difference. Participants will serve on a grant-making board, learn how to become strategic philanthropists and contribute to a pooled fund that will support selected organization(s).

A $250 contribution is required to participate in the program. This contribution will be matched by a private donor. The group will allocate up to $10,000 in funding to the organization(s) of their choice.

Download a 2009 Application.

TPI is sponsored by the Jewish Teen Funders Network, Kaplen JCC on the Palisades and UJA of Northern New Jersey.
