 student in the 8th\, 9th or 10th grade?\n\nAre you interested in philanthr
 opy and giving back to your community?\n\n\n\nJoin us at the Kaplen JCC on
  the Palisades for the Teen Philanthropy Institute (TPI) Information Sessi
 on. It will give you and your parents an opportunity to learn more about t
 he TPI program\, meet with past participants and program facilitators.\n\n
 The goal of the TPI is to foster a new generation of committed\, influenti
 al leaders who embrace the Jewish values of chesed (kindness)\, tzedakah (
 charity)\, and tikkun olam (social justice). Participants gain valuable le
 adership skills\, form bonds with socially conscious Jewish peers\, and le
 arn how to make a difference. Participants will serve on a grant-making bo
 ard\, learn how to become strategic philanthropists and contribute to a po
 oled fund that will support selected organization(s).\n\n\n\nA $250 contri
 bution is required to participate in the program. This contribution will b
 e matched by a private donor. The group will allocate up to $10\,000 in fu
 nding to the organization(s) of their choice.\n\nDownload a 2009 Applicati
