Areyvut is pleased to partner with Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps. (TVAC) on a new free series for high school students. The goal of this series is to meaningfully engage teens, teach them skills that can profoundly impact them in general and in their work babysitting, facilitating youth or groups in shul and in camp and simultaneously build TVAC’s capacity and pipeline. No prior experience necessary. Students can attend all sessions or individual sessions as their schedule permits.
Session 2: When every second counts there are some basic tools that can make the difference between life and death. Learn when and how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants and how to provide abdominal thrusts (formerly called the Heimlich Maneuver) on choking victims. This is especially good to know for youth group counselors, camp counselors and babysitters.
Note: while TVAC will not be providing CPR certifications during this session, they can arrange a formal CPR course for those interested at a later date.
The additional sessions will be held on May 25 and June 1.
The program is free and we encourage you to register below so that we know who is attending and be adequately prepared.
