SUMMARY:Lifesaving Interventions: CPR and Choking
DESCRIPTION:Areyvut is pleased to partner with Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance 
 Corps. (TVAC) on a new free series for high school students.  The goal of
  this series is to meaningfully engage teens\, teach them skills that can 
 profoundly impact them in general and in their work babysitting\, facilita
 ting youth or groups in shul and in camp and simultaneously build TVAC’s
  capacity and pipeline.  No prior experience necessary.  Students can a
 ttend all sessions or individual sessions as their schedule permits.\n\nSe
 ssion 2: When every second counts there are some basic tools that can mak
 e the difference between life and death.  Learn when and how to perform C
 PR on adults\, children\, and infants and how to provide abdominal thrusts
  (formerly called the Heimlich Maneuver) on choking victims.  This is esp
 ecially good to know for youth group counselors\, camp counselors and baby
 sitters.\n\nNote: while TVAC will not be providing CPR certifications duri
 ng this session\, they can arrange a formal CPR course for those intereste
 d at a later date.\n\nThe additional sessions will be held on May 25 and J
 une 1.\n\nThe program is free and we encourage you to register below so th
