Areyvut will be running it’s first ever Mitzvah Clowning Program in Maryland.
The training is sponsored by the Bikur Cholim of Greater Washington and will be led by Michal Levine, Areyvut’s Program Associate. Participants will discuss Mitzvah Clowning, what makes it Jewish, the goals, target audience, the differences and similarities between a “regular” clown, role play different scenarios and will learn how to create balloon animals and apply clown makeup. Immediately following the training, participants will put their knowledge into action when visiting with residents at the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington.
