We initially posted this prior to COVID-19 and now know that due to the Coronavirus many graduate, college and high school students internships and/or summer plans have likely changed. If you like what you see below and are interested in partnering with us to actively make a difference please let us know. For now do not worry about these dates and assume that Interns can start as early as May 18 and can work from anywhere in the world. Our Summer Interns have had a powerful impact on Areyvut, the Jewish and general non-profit communities in the past and with your help this summer will be no different.
Launched in 2002, Areyvut infuses the lives of Jewish youth with the core Jewish values of chesed (kindness), tzedakah (charity) and tikkun olam (social action). Areyvut offers a variety of opportunities to empower and enrich youth and make these core Jewish values meaningful to them. Our target audience is middle and high school students from all denominations of Judaism, all types of Jewish education and all levels of Jewish communal affiliation.
Areyvut seeks Summer Interns who are eager to make a meaningful contribution, learn about the non-profit world and challenge themselves. The interns will plan and implement events, create, develop and facilitate educational materials and programs. This position is ideal for those interested in pursuing a career in education, Jewish education, non-profit, development, event planning and/or publishing. To accommodate and maximize participation we are offering three sessions:

There is flexibility to begin earlier and/or stay later.
Interns will be based at the Areyvut office in Bergenfield, NJ (which is accessible by public transportation and only 15 miles from Manhattan). They will work under the supervision of Daniel Rothner, Areyvut Founder & Director, on Monday-Thursday from 9:30-3:30. This is a paid position.
