Pony Power Therapies gives special needs and at-risk children and adults a unique opportunity to ride, care for and interact with horses. Our riding and non-riding activities enhance individuals’ physical, social and emotional well-being in a safe, nurturing farm environment.
Bnai Mitzvah Projects or Volunteer Opportunities offered by the organization for children ages 11 - 13:
Pony Power Therapies is looking for volunteers to assist in therapeutic horse-back riding lessons as side walkers and lead walkers! Under the supervision of a certified riding instructor, the side walker walks next to the horse to provide support to the rider as needed. Lead walkers are responsible for handling the horse during lessons and only those with previous horse experience will be assigned as lead walkers.
