Cell Phones for Soldiers

Cell Phones For Soldiers is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to serving troops and veterans with free communication services and emergency funding. The organization was founded in 2004 by Robbie and Brittany Bergquist at the ages of 12 and 13. To date, Cell Phones For Soldiers has provided more than 300 million minutes of talk time to our troops serving around the world through the Minutes That Matter program, and we continue Helping Heroes Home via emergency funds that so far have assisted more than 3,100 veterans.

Children of Promise, NYC

Children of Promise, NYC works to embrace children of incarcerated parents and empower them to break the cycle of intergenerational involvement in the criminal justice system. Our innovative model was developed to address the specific emotional trauma that can be triggered by losing a parent to incarceration.
