Background: For years Areyvut has facilitated a wide array of hands on projects that have been donated to local and Israel based non-profit agencies. Many students are home for the summer and seeking fun and meaningful opportunities in the evening.  Pizza & Projects is a new pop up hands on weekly project  that has received a great response and we anticipate it will run on Monday night’s until the end of August.

Pizza & Projects: The program is for incoming 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th graders and will take place in the back room at EJ’s. No prior experience is necessary.

While parents are encouraged to stay and dine at EJ’s with their family, Pizza and Projects is geared for students going into 4th, 5th and 6th grade.

Session 3: Special World Jewry Project with JDC

Join the mission to build a better Jewish tomorrow and make a difference on a global scale with JDC (American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee)- get to know Jewish tweens and teens from around the world at this week’s Pizza & Projects. JDC works to build Jewish life and save Jewish lives in 60 countries throughout the world, learn how young Jewish leaders are making a difference in their own community.

Draw pictures or write letters (your choice) to be mailed to kids in Jewish communities in countries like Hungary, Cuba, Ukraine, and more! Participants will leave with their own JDC Passport stamped with the countries they learn about during the session.

It promises to be a fun, meaningful and productive hour.

Future Sessions: All the remaining sessions of Pizza & Projects will meet from 6 to 7 on Monday’s and will be posted at https://areyvut.org/events/.

Fee: $15 per session and that will include pizza, a drink and the supplies for the project.

You can register in advance below or if you prefer can simply send your child with cash or a check made payable to Areyvut.

We do not want money to be a barrier to participation. If your child wants to participate and the $15 poses a challenge please contact us at 201-244-6702 or via e-mail at info@areyvut.org and we will make sure your child can participate.

If you want to sponsor and/or underwrite this program please let us know.

Our Host: We are grateful to EJ’s Place for their hospitality, ongoing support and partnership.
