We are now in the 9 Days where we commemorate the destruction of the Beit HaMikdash, the Temple. The Gemara (Talmud) tells us that “Just as the Beit HaMikdash was destroyed through sinat chinam (baseless hatred), it will only be rebuilt through ahavat chinam (actively loving others freely without judgement).”
It is Areyvut’s mission to actively encourage such acts of love- locally, nationally and around the world. We are pleased to offer families a myriad of hands on volunteer opportunities this week including this friendly visit to bring joy to the residents and staff at CareOne.
This is suitable for children of all ages and all participants younger than Middle School need to be accompanied by a parent, grandparent or guardian. Bring your talents. For example, if you do magic, know how to juggle, tell jokes or play an instrument please bring them with you to enhance the experience. All attendees are required to where masks to protect the staff, residents and prevent the spread of COVID. While you can just show up, we encourage you to register to attend below so that we and the staff at CareOne will be adequately prepared.
May our visit bring smiles to the residents, staff at CareOne and provide you the opportunity to show your children and family the values that matter to you while actively working together to build commUNITY.
