Daniel Rothner, Areyvut’s Founder and Director and Shira Hammerman, Areyvut’s Educational Coordinator will be presenting at the NJAJDS Conference. Shira will be presenting on the topic of Connection to the Land of Israel through Chesed Programs. She will be discussing ways in which to incorporate Israel related chesed and tzedakah projects into the school curriculum and culture. Additionally, Shira will explore options and ideas that relate to Israel as a means for enrichingthe lives of students, families and communities – building a link to a life of involvement in communal activity.
Daniel will be presenting on topic of creative chesed programs, specifically Mitzvah Clowning. He will discuss the impact Mitzvah Clowning has on on the volunteers and those they visit, and also discuss innovative ways in which to make one’s mitzvah project meaningful and fun.
