Daniel Rothner, Areyvut’s Founder and Director, will be delivering a presentation to the faculty and support staff of Westchester Day School on Wed., Sept. 2nd. Daniel’s presentation will focus on the importance of getting children involved with chesed (kindness) activities. He will provide concrete service examples for the staff to utilize with their students throughout the Jewish year.

Additionally, he will pay close attention to the Yamim Noraim which are quickly approaching. Daniel will also provide the staff with ideas for chesed activities that can be used for service learning. He will discuss the meaning of service learning and how to incorporate these activities into classroom lessons in a natural and organic method. It is Daniel’s hope that by attending this presentation the Westchester Day School staff will better be able to incorporate the values of chesed, tzedakah and tikkun olam effortlessly on a regular basis.
