Event Type

  • Does your family love art and being creative?
  • Are you looking for a family friendly activity to do together over Sukkot?
  • Is giving back important to you?

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to offer in person Sukkot programs this year.  Instead we offer you an opportunity to gather with family or friends for a Paint Day, Afternoon or Night.  The picture below is an example from a local family at a previous program.

You will receive six canvases, paint and paint brushes.  This is not an event where each person paints the same picture.  Spend a few minutes before you begin thinking about what you want to paint, what colors to use (you can experiment with mixing colors) and if you want words, images or an abstract painting.  Use your creativity to create a colorful, bright and cheerful work of art.  You can keep your masterpieces, give them to family, friends or colleagues or if you prefer give them to Areyvut who will donate them to an area senior center, nursing home or assisted living facility.

Those who order will receive further information about pickup options in Bergenfield and Teaneck.

Pick up will begin on Friday, October 2 and go through Thursday, October 8.

You can do this at any time and a reminder again that this is a DIY and there are no instructions in addition to those here.

Each bag is $25.

A paint event is a great way to spend Sukkot while bonding and having lots of fun.

Please support our commUNITY building programs and include Areyvut in your holiday charitable giving. All donations and sponsorships are tax deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.  Every donation and donor is appreciated.  All donors will receive a thank you and acknowledgement letter for tax purposes.

If you post your family painting or your finished product to social media, please tag us @Areyvut

For more information and/or to arrange an Areyvut program in your synagogue, school or community, please contact us at (201) 244-6702 or info@areyvut.org.

Best wishes to you and your family for a Chag Sameach, continued health and success.
