We are now in the 9 Days where we commemorate the destruction of the Beit HaMikdash, the Temple. The Gemara (Talmud) tells us that “Just as the Beit HaMikdash was destroyed through sinat chinam (baseless hatred), it will only be rebuilt through ahavat chinam (actively loving others freely without judgement).”
It is Areyvut’s mission to actively encourage such acts of love- locally, nationally and around the world. We are pleased to offer families volunteer opportunities this week including this friendly visit to bring joy to the residents and staff at CareOne.
This Friendly Visit is suitable for children of all ages and all participants younger than Middle School need to be accompanied by a parent, grandparent or guardian. If you have any special talents please come prepared to share and showcase them. For example, if you do magic, please bring some of your magic tricks or if you are an artist, please bring one of your many awesome creations.
May our working together actively build commUNITY, help CareOne and all those they serve.
If you have any questions please contact us at 201-244-6702 or via e-mail at info@areyvut.org.
Walk-ins welcomed and encouraged.
By participating in this event you grant Areyvut and CareOne at Teaneck permission to take your picture and to use them to highlight this event in the hope that your personal example and leadership empowers someone else to actively use their time, talent and treasure to actively impact the commUNITY.
