Bringing Kindness to Communities One Teen at a Time May 2008

Areyvut’s “A Kindness a Day”

May 1, 2008

Do someone a favor without expecting anything in return.

“Be like servants who serve their master not for the sake of receiving reward.” (Pirkei Avot 1:3)

Want to complete Areyvut’s Kindness for today, but don’t know how to get started?

Think Summer!  Think Creative!  Think Fun!

Now is the time to encourage someone in your family, school, community, etc. to apply to Areyvut’s Summer Internship Program!  Areyvut staff members are currently reviewing resumes and scheduling interviews for high school, college and graduate students interested in the internship program.  Areyvut’s Summer Internship Program is a full time internship, which will take place from June 23 – August 15.

Areyvut Interns are an integral part of the organization and can get involved in a variety of ways:

Make a Difference Day, Online Resource Center, Public Relations, Fundraising, Teen Chesed Programming and Much More

Do you know someone who may be interested in joining the Areyvut team as part of our Summer Internship Program?  Do you have more questions about Areyvut’s Summer Internship Program?

Please contact Sharon Stahl, Special Projects Coordinator, at (201) 244-6702 or for additional information.

Spotlight: Make a Difference Day

April 4-6, 2008

Martin J. Gottlieb Day School – Jacksonville, FL

Under the guidance and leadership of Ms. Edith Horovitz, 2nd and 6th grade students took part in Project Clean Up.  The students created “no litter” signs, picked up trash and cleaned up the road in front of their school.  They hope their actions will inspire others to take steps towards improving the environment.

We’d love to hear from you!

If you would like your Make a Difference Day project to be featured in an upcoming Areyvut e-Newsletter, please contact Daniel Rothner at (201) 244-6702 or
