Going Mad for “Make a Difference” Day 2010

"Make a Difference" DayAreyvut’s “Make a Difference” Day will be taking place nationwide March 12 – 14.  This year’s “Make a Difference” Day is already off to a great start thanks to numerous volunteers and Disney’s Give a Day Get a Disney Day Promotion.  From Mitzvah Clowning to Food Drives to delivering Kosher Meals on Wheels, volunteers have been busy giving back to their community.  As of today, nearly 80 people have participated in this program, benefiting organizations throughout the Bergen County area, including:

A special thank you to the following people for their patience and assistance with making this program such a great success:

* Edith Horovitz * Jennifer Rothman *
* Melody Sandor * Tristan Wallack *

We hope that everyone will take the opportunity to join in this program.  Aside from those who already completed their projects, there are an additional 192 individuals registered for Areyvut sponsored and partnered programs through Disney through the end of April 2010.  There are still more spots available…for a list of Disney Give a Day Get a Disney Day programs in your area, click here

Tripping All Over Town
Summer Internship Program 2010

In addition to being on the lookout for exceptional candidates, we are also looking for nonprofit organizations to welcome us throughout the summer.  One of the things that makes Areyvut’s Summer Internship Program so unique is that the staff and interns go on weekly trips to local nonprofits to learn about their structure, speak with experts in the field and participate in hands-on volunteering.  This is just one of the many things that sets us apart from the rest.
Summer Internship Program

Are you interested in welcoming us (a total of 6 people) to your organization for a tour, volunteer program or to address the group about your nonprofit?  Please let us know!  Contact us at (201) 244-6702 or info@areyvut.org.

Though the Areyvut Summer Internship Program is an unpaid position, we believe that the skills the interns gain throughout the summer will be invaluable to them in the future.  Time is running out to apply.  If you are a high school or college student, send us your resume today!  For more information about Areyvut’s Summer Internship Program, click here, or contact us at (201) 244-6702 or send your resume to sharon@areyvut.org.
