Mickey Mouse and “Make a Difference” Day 2010

Areyvut’s “Make a Difference” Day is quickly approaching and this year, it will be better than ever!  Areyvut has joined up with Disney’s “Give a Day. Get a Disney Day.” Program and we areDisney coordinating and sponsoring projects throughout New Jersey.  The response has been great and we are so excited to be involved with this project!

Our next project will be taking place on Feb. 16th.  Areyvut will be hosting a food drive at our office (located at 147 S. Washington Ave. Bergenfield, NJ).  All collected food items will be donated to the Center for Food Action.  Though we already have enough volunteers for this project, we would love it if you could stop by and donate what you can (remember Passover is drawing near…it may be time to think about emptying those shelves).  The food drive will run from 10:00am – 2:30pm.  We hope to see you there.
If you would like to get involved with Areyvut’s “Make a Difference” Day programming, please let us know.  We will work with you to create a meaningful program.  We are also still looking for some slots for the Disney’s “Give a Day.  Get a Disney Day.” Program.  Feel free to check out our available volunteer opportunities.

Looking for a Few Good Women and Men Areyvut’s Summer Internship Program 2010

Search for internsAreyvut is on the look out for high school and college age interns for our 2010 Summer Internship Program.  The internship will run from June 7th through July 23rd and will take place at the Areyvut office located in Bergenfield, NJ.

Throughout the course of the summer interns will have the opportunity to learn about Areyvut progams and initiatives including: “Make a Difference” Day, Jewish teen philanthropy, “A Kindness a Day” and so much more.  They will also be called upon to create and facilitate programs and projects.  Additionally, interns will go on weekly trips with Areyvut staff to other nonprofit organizations to listen to experts in the field, learn about the structure of nonprofit organizations and to participate in hands-on volunteering projects.
Though the Areyvut Summer Internship Program is an unpaid position, we believe that the skills the interns gain throughout the summer will be invaluable to them in the future.
For more information about , please contact us at (201) 244-6702 or send your resume to sharon@areyvut.org.
