A Year in the Life of Areyvut
For nearly eight years, Areyvut has infused the lives of Jewish youth with the core values of chesed (kindness), tzedakah (charity) and tikkun olam (social action). We have become leaders in our field by developing innovative programming including Mitzvah Clown Training and Jewish Teen Philanthropy.
We have often been asked how we are able to do so much with so little. We tackle this challenge on a daily basis often, with a smile and a touch of humor. Today, we look to you for a new solution.
If each person who received this e-Newsletter contributed just $15, Areyvut would be able to sustain itself for the next ten months. Think about it. $15 is probably less than half of what you pay for your monthly cell phone service. Now thing about the impact that nominal gift can have on Areyvut and its future.
Your tax-deductible donation could allow us to train 30 Mitzvah Clowns over the course of the next six months. These clowns would then be able to add cheer to the lives of senior citizens and children with special needs. In effect, you would be enabling these newest Mitzvah Clowns to impact the lives of hundreds of people around them.
Additionally, your donation would allow Areyvut to engage schools in social justice programs that they otherwise could not afford. Your contribution could allow us to create, implement and facilitate Jewish Teen Philanthropy programs, giving students the opportunity to learn about philanthropic giving, the meaning of giving “Jewishly,” and provide them with critical thinking and valuable life skills.
Your donation would support Areyvut’s other programming as well. We are continually engaging the community in programs such as “Make a Difference” Day, Bnai Mitzvah Fairs and Video Essay Contest, “A Kindness a Day” Calendar, and service learning education for those in the field and so much more.
Your gift is important in helping Areyvut stay afloat during these challenging economic times. It will provide us the opportunity to continue our work with teenagers, resulting in the commitment and responsibility to their communities, the Jewish people and the world at large. We hope that you are able to donate a few dollars to help us continue on our path and welcome any questions or concerns you may have. Please feel free to contact us at (201) 244-6702 or [email protected] for additional information. Thank you for your time, consideration and commitment to this important cause.
