2024 Summer Intern

2024 Summer Intern – Areyvut

Launched in 2002, Areyvut’s mission is to strengthen the culture of chesed (kindness), tzedakah (charity), and tikkun olam (social action) in contemporary Jewish life. We offer programs, services, and resources that infuse these core Jewish values into all stages of the lifecycle, across the entire spectrum of affiliation and observance, and in partnership with the full range of communal institutions.

Areyvut seeks Summer Interns – virtual, in-person and hybrid – who are eager to actively use their passion, skills and talents to make meaningful contributions, learn about the non-profit world and challenge and develop themselves.  This position is ideal for those interested in pursuing a career in education, Jewish education, non-profit programs, operations, development/fundraising, event planning, entrepreneurship and/or publishing.  Interns will work under the supervision of Daniel Rothner, Areyvut’s Founder & Director.

To meet the needs of today’s applicants and maximize participation, we offer significant flexibility.  Interns can design a schedule that works with their other commitments and can choose in-person (at our office in Bergenfield, NJ), virtual or hybrid options.  Stipends will begin at $180 and go as high as $1,800 depending on the number of completed hours.  Payment is project based and will be made when projects are completed.  We welcome applicants with limited availability (less than 15 hours total) to participate as volunteers.

  • Overseeing creation of a Pesach Card project.
  • Developing a detailed distribution plan for our A Kindness a Day Calendar.
  • Active and creative distribution of Areyvut’s You Matter cards.
