Summer Chesed Ideas

Posted on July 9, 2009

Areyvut is helping Jewish youth to infuse their lives with the core Jewish values of chesed (kindness), tzedakah (charity), and tikkun olam (social justice). We are committed to developing programs and resources that help participants make these values relevant, organic and part of their everyday lives. We recently developed a list of 50 Summer Chesed Ideas to encourage people to incorporate chesed into their summer routine. The list contains ideas that apply to people of all ages and many of the suggestions can be done with little or no preparation. Areyvut is focused on engaging students while they are young, teaching them about commitment to community and actively making a difference. We welcome the opportunity to partner with you, bring one of our programs to your community, school or synagogue and to hear about ways that you helping those in need.
