The Leadership Crisis

Posted on July 20, 2012

There has been talk for a while about a “crisis” of a lack of leadership in the Jewish community.  David Edell discusses eight concrete steps that he believes should be taken to alleviate this situation and provide the community with more effective leaders.

I think these are all great ideas.  I also believe that we need to focus on developing leadership opportunities for teens and tweens.  At Areyvut, we try to engage teens and tweens and encourage them to become active in their communities and be the next leaders of their generation.  Perhaps if we start training people in leadership at younger ages, then this can help fix this crisis and provide the Jewish community and the world with more effective leaders.
