Extending the Camp Experience Beyond the Lake

Posted on May 3, 2013

Rabbi Mitchell Cohen, who works with Ramah Jewish summer camps, discusses ways to incorporate aspects of camp into year round programs and in doing so making Jewish learning more meaningful and effective.  Among these are having accessible role models, and interestingly, laughter.  He maintains that laughter helps with emotional development, self-esteem and other areas of life.

This is something interesting to think about.  Learning should be something that makes our participants and students happy.  How can we infuse laughter into the education of our children?
