Tehillim (Psalms) 89:3 says: ע֭וֹלָם חֶ֣סֶד יִבָּנֶ֑ה – and that is translated literally as, “God’s love is everlasting” and it means that “The world is built with kindness” and that active kindness is what keeps the world going daily.  The idea of this chapter of Tehillim is that God builds the world from love and we need to also actively build the world from love.  The message of this verse and chapter is that we need to repair the covenant and work together to apply God’s love to our broken world and to actively build our world through love for each other.

This idea describes Micah Kaufman.  If we were given one word to describe him we would say chesed or kindness.  Micah has always given of himself and used his time, treasure and talents to actively help others.  Through his powerful story, he will engage, motivate and inspire the 6th and 7th grade at Arie Crown Hebrew Day School and by extension their families and communities to actively make the world a better place daily.

Areyvut has a long standing relationship with Micah and is excited to partner with him to actively engage others in making a difference in their community and the world.  If you want to arrange to have Micah present at your school, synagogue or community or to arrange another uplifting speaker or Areyvut program, , please contact us at (201) 244-6702 or info@areyvut.org.
