Tikkun olam lunches nourish those in need

A congregation in Los Angeles is repairing the world by serving lunch to those in need.  About 60 people, Jews and non-Jews, come to the Bnai David-Judea Congregation to get food and some inspiration from Rabbi Yosef Kanefsky.  These lunches were started by a congregant, David Nimmer, who decided that he wanted to make a change to help those in need and create a sense of community.  This project also gets different members of the community involved, shows them the value and impact of giving.

This is a great example of how one person can make a huge difference in so many ways.  Being proactive and trying new things can go a long way.
