According to a recent article in The Chronicle of Philanthropy, Ariel Nissel, a real-estate developer from Dallas, Texas just wants to make a difference in the world. After being dissatisfied with his previous philanthropic efforts and wanting to help more than he felt he was, he started a new grant-making foundation called the Pollination Project. Ari plans on providing daily $1,000 grants directly to individuals, believing in the power of the individual to make a difference in the world. This is an interesting approach and I am curious as to the impact this has and if it inspires other people to contribute and get involved in philanthropy as well. Either way, I applaud his efforts and vision.
