Honesty Brings Positive Results

In an article by Keith Ferrazzi, he addresses a prevalent problem encountered in the work place: A lack of candor and honesty among colleagues.  He discusses how most people do not like to criticize someone, even constructively, to their face, often waiting until later to talk about it in private.  This does not help anyone, and will most likely yield negative results, creating an atmosphere of fear and lack of trust.  This is certainly not conducive to the success of the business.

Whatever the environment, when people work collaboratively on anything, it is very important to keep this in mind.  Giving constructive criticism and stating your own opinion does not mean that you are insensitive or unkind.  It is often necessary to be honest for the greater good of everyone and to bring positive results.
