Noted philanthropist Lynn Schusterman advocates for paying it forward in this open letter and for serving in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We applaud her for constantly highlighting the core Jewish values of chesed, tzedakah and tikkun olam and for encouraging people to use their time, skills and talents to help others. I think she will be happy to know that Areyvut’s Mitzvah Clowns will be visiting seniors at the Hebrew Home in Riverdale and I invite her to come see our programs in action when her schedule permits.
