Reflections on Fair @ SAR

Posted on May 6, 2011

Earlier this week Areyvut had a Bnai Mitzvah Fair at SAR Academy for 5th grade girls and their parents. The goal of the program was to expose the students to a variety of volunteer opportunities and encourage them to play an active role in the community. The fair featured more than 10 agencies that represented Israel, health care, poverty, the arts and other causes. The feedback from the program was awesome and included comments like:

I really enjoyed being in a room with others involved in chesed!

It was an honor to be in attendance.

The fair was terrific.

Areyvut is proud to develop these programs and thrilled to get students involved in the community at a young age and to ignite a lifelong passion for the core Jewish values of chesed, tzedakah and tikkun olam.

We would like to thank all of the agencies for partnering with us. We appreciate your help, support and look forward to working together in the future. We would also like to thank SAR for once again inviting us to develop and implement this program and we look forward to building on our success in the future.

Please contact me if you would like to bring Areyvut to your school, synagogue or community.
