What Number are We Up To?

Posted on December 8, 2010

The 8th and final night of Chanukah is quickly approaching.  As a child, by the time I got up to the 5th night or so, I had opened all of the “good presents” and was left with things that I didn’t have time to purchase on my own, but needed such as: batteries, Q-tips or bandaids.  I’m not calling the last few nights of Chanukah a let down, I’m just saying that compared with the first few nights where everything is new and exciting…there’s not that much going on.

I am happy to report that “good presents” can still be had for Chanukah 5771.  While I’m sure your loved one would enjoy nothing more than opening their last gift and finding a pair of socks, perhaps you want to try out Chanukah the Areyvut way…by joining us at one of our two upcoming concerts!

So, someone special in your life is free on December 19th at say 7:30pm…how about joining us at Shwekey’s “Back to the Beacon” Concert.  Great seats are still available, but they will sell out.  Make your reservation today!

The person you wish to shop for is a bit too young to appreciate Shwekey?  No problem!  Come to Congregation Beth Sholom in Teaneck, NJ on December 31st at 10:00am for Areyvut’s 5th Annual Uncle Moishy Concert!    Seats and sponsorships are still available, but this concert is sure to sell out as well…make your reservation today!

We hope these gift ideas will go a long way in not only bringing happiness and smiles to those that you love, but also having the joy and excitement of the first few days of Chanukah last through the 8th and final night.
