It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane…It’s Pastor Jomber Araujo Vladisla!!!

Posted on November 23, 2010

On November 22, 2010 Israel welcomed its 3,000,001th tourist of the year, Pastor Jomber Araujo Vladisla. A Brazilian native, Pastor Vladisla, was on his way to Israel from Sao Paulo on a mission. Why is there so much pomp and circumstance surrounding this flight? With Pastor Vladisla’s arrival (and that of the rest of his flight from Brazil) Israel broke its record for visitors in a single year. The previous record was last held in 2008 when Israel had 3,000,000 visitors to its land.

All of the passengers on Pastor Vladisla’s flight received a gift from the Israel Tourism Ministry, but only he received a special presentation from the Israel’s Tourism Minister, Stas Misezhnikov. In addition to receiving high accolades and meeting with Israeli officials, what does one get for being the 3,000,001th person to visit Israel? A free trip to come back! What was Pastor Vladisla’s reaction? He was “very happy”. Check out the scene at Ben Gurion Airport!
