Yehuda Arenstein

Yehuda Arenstein is a Development Associate with Areyvut, spearheading our Foundation Relations & Grants program with an emphasis on strategic organizational planning and partnerships.  His cross-sector background as an educator, innovator, manager, and builder in academia, the human-services private sector, and Jewish nonprofit organizations (including serving as a grantmaking research volunteer with a private foundation and the Director of Scaleup Operations with Lech-Lecha Outdoor Adventures) provides Yehuda with extensive experience that informs his work with Areyvut.  Yehuda’s commitment to values education is grounded in his holistic and interdisciplinary educational philosophy, which prioritizes pedagogical approaches that are coherent, experiential, and address themselves to the whole person.  As part of a long-term curricular initiative, he has published several articles that advance new paradigms in Jewish education.  Beyond his PhD in the history of religious, political, and ecological thought, Yehuda pursues ongoing professional development including courses and fellowships in Jewish thought and education, international education, and organizational development and leadership, and, most recently, participating in the Orthodox Union Impact Accelerator for communal nonprofit organizations.
