DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, July 1\, 2009\n\nOn July 1st Areyvut staff and inte
 rns headed to NYC for a fun and informative time! We had the opportunity t
 o meet with Stefanie Zelkind\, Director of Youth Philanthropy and Malka Ja
 mpol\, Summer Intern for the Jewish Teen Funders Network (JTFN). This netw
 ork provides Jewish teens with opportunities to connect with other Jewish 
 teens in philanthropic giving through Jewish values. JTFN is gaining notic
 e throughout the country evidenced by the number of Jewish teens involved 
 in philanthropy programs and by working with other professional leaders.\n
 \nStefanie spoke with us about the importance of Jewish youth philanthropy
 \, its various models as well as JTFN and its structure. Additionally\, Ma
 lka addressed the group about her journey to becoming a JTFN summer intern
  as well as her unique graduate program.\n\nWhile in NYC the interns were 
 given the opportunity to participate in a variety of chesed opportunities 
 in an effort to spread the kindness. We thank Stefanie and Malka for takin
