SUMMARY:Project Based Learning Community Service Program @NSHA
DESCRIPTION:Areyvut is excited to have the pleasure of working with 60 6th
  grade students at North Shore Hebrew Academy on a Project Based Learning
  Community Service Program.\n\nRather than the school leadership determini
 ng where the students should donate funds\, volunteer and what agencies th
 ey should partner with this year\, the students will research agencies and
  present them to their peers.  The students will be empowered to think bi
 g\, learn about community needs and to plan projects that they and the sch
 ool community will be implementing throughout the year.  At the conclusio
 n of this interactive program participants will vote on which agencies the
 y want to work with most.  The 6th grade leaders will then work together
  with the school leadership to facilitate projects with the selected agenc
 ies throughout the year.\n\nThe goal of the program is for students to bet
 ter understand community needs and the many ways that they can serve\, ben
 efit and impact the community.\n\nThe program will take place at the schoo
 l on September 26 from 12:00-1:30.\n\nFor more information about this pre
