DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, October 16\, 2013\n\nAreyvut is pleased to offer Mu
 sic and Morals\, a unique program that explores music and Jewish values to
  8th-12th graders at Temple Israel of Northern Westchester.\n\nWhen you we
 re younger you may have heard: sticks and stones may break my bones but na
 mes will never hurt me.\n\nWe all know this is simply not true. The words 
 we use have a profound impact. Similarly\, the music we listen too says so
 mething about who we are and what we value. The participants will explore 
 what values today’s top songs are trying to teach us and if they are con
 sistent with Jewish teachings. Participants are encouraged to come with yo
 ur favorite song\, an open mind and a willingness to learn from others and
  to grow from the experience.\n\nWe are thrilled to partner with the Templ
 e Israel of Northern Westchester on this exciting program and are confiden
 t it will be a meaningful and exciting program for all those involved.\n\n
 Areyvut will be facilitating this program on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-
 7:30 at the synagogue.\n\nProgram dates: October 16\, 23 and 30 and Novemb
 er 6\, 13 and 20\n\nThis course is part of the Westchester Jewish Teen Lea
 rning Initiative (WJTLI)\, coordinated by The Jewish Education Project wit
 h generous funding from UJA-Federation of New York and Neshamot.\n\nTo lea
