SUMMARY:Jewish Funders Network 2021 Virtual Conference
DESCRIPTION:Areyvut is excited to be attending and participating in the Je
wish Funders Network 2021 Virtual Conference with a theme of Strong Bonds:
The Elements that Energize Jewish Philanthropy.\n\nSince our launch in Se
ptember 2002\, we have been dedicated to educating\, engaging\, motivating
and inspiring others to energize Jewish philanthropy via the core Jewish
values of chesed\, tzedakah and tikkun olam.  We look forward to learning
\, growing\, reflecting and networking with leaders\, colleagues and funde
rs throughout the conference.\n\nIf you are attending the JFN Virtual Conf
erence and would like to learn more about Areyvut\, our Teen Philanthropy
resources or other community engagement and leadership programs\, please e
-mail info@areyvut.org to set up a time to talk with Daniel Rothner\, our
Founder and Director and if you know someone attending the conference plea
se encourage them to find and reach out to Daniel so that they can network
and explore ways to work and partner together.\n\nHere is more on the JFN
  2021 Virtual Conference:\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are at a turning point\, surrounde
d by unprecedented financial need\, with every sector of the Jewish world
affected. The pandemic has sparked great creativity as well as great anxie
ty. Existing trends have accelerated\, for good and ill\, and new issues h
ave arisen. Big-picture thinking about the future is more critical than ev
er\, but must be done alongside the task of addressing the immediate needs
of communal institutions and NGOs around the world. The long-term impact
is not yet clear: Will Jewish life return to the way it was before Covid?
More importantly\, should it?\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe JFN virtual confere
nce posits that donors in this environment must bring to bear three elemen
ts that\, bonded together\, form the molecular structure of Jewish philant
hropy in 2021. Each day of our program explores one element. On Monday\, M
arch 15\, we focus on resilience\, to ensure our grantees and communal in
frastructure can better withstand crises. On Tuesday\, March 16\, we refle
ct on humility\, to work in true partnership with other funders and grant
ees\, to use our power well and thoughtfully\, and to operate in a way tha
t builds each other up even when we disagree. Finally\, on Wednesday\, Mar
ch 17\, we turn to community itself\, focusing on the bonds we make to o
ne another\, and how to strengthen them even — especially — in a time
of isolation.\n\n\n\n\n\nFrom the minyan to the Shabbat dinner table\, fro
m the classroom to the transformative Israel experience\, Jewish life requ
ires togetherness to thrive. While the conference this year cannot bring o
ur dynamic community together in person\, we are combining technology and
design to recreate what we miss the most: the energy of sharing a space wi
th other people. Nothing can replace the real thing — but unlike many on
line events\, the JFN conference will prioritize participant networking an
d connectivity around the ideas and passions they share. As at any JFN con
ference\, we offer inspiring keynote speakers\, thought-provoking conversa
tions\, skill-building workshops\, and discussion opportunities to help Je
wish funders improve the quality and efficacy of their philanthropy.\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe JFN conference creates a special chemistry\, pro
viding funders around the globe an unparalleled opportunity to form bonds
that are both strong and flexible. Those relationships support the best of
independent Jewish philanthropy: thoroughly informed\, deeply networked\,
and free to experiment and learn.\n\nWe hope you’ll join us\, for only
by being together can we strengthen the relationships\, open the conversat
ions\, and generate the ideas that will carry us forward to a brighter tom
 orrow.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n&nbsp\;
