DESCRIPTION:Due to COVID-19 and the Coronavirus pandemic this and all in pe
 rson programs have been canceled or postponed until further notice. A wid
 e array of resources are available at http://bit.ly/2wU5CTS. \n\nAreyvut
  is pleased to once again offer H.O.P.E. (Helping Organizations Provide Es
 sentials)\, a Jewish Teen Philanthropy program to 7th graders at Yeshivat 
 Noam in Paramus\, NJ.\n\nParticipants contribute $100 and work as a board 
 to determine community needs\, develop a mission and ultimately allocate t
 hose funds. They will impact each other\, the community and learn and deve
 lop skills that encourage them to give thoughtfully throughout their lives
 .\n\nSince 2007\, Areyvut’s Jewish Teen Philanthropy programs have engag
 ed more than 245 participants\, allocated $49\,700 to over 30 non-profits.
 \n\nWe are thrilled to once again partner with Yeshivat Noam on this excit
 ing program and are confident it will be a meaningful and exciting program
  for all those involved.\n\nSession 1:Introduction to H.O.P.E. &amp\; Phil
 anthropy \n\nDuring this initial session\, participants will be asked to p
 articipate in group exercises to foster a feeling of unity and team buildi
 ng. Facilitator(s) will introduce the group to philanthropy and discuss ho
 w it can be compared and contrasted with community service and tzedakah. T
 he group will also touch upon the notion of giving “Jewishly\,” what t
 hat concept entails and how it pertains to them.\n\nTo explore bringing ph
