SUMMARY:5784 Erev Yom Kippur Chesed Program
DESCRIPTION:We are aware that some people may experience a problem register
ing. There is plenty of space for everyone and no one will be turned away.
You can either e-mail info@areyvut.org with the information (your child
's name\, etc.) or simply come on Sunday morning.\n\nTo register more than
one child - you can register up to 8 per registration- simply use the dro
p down menu below and if you have any questions or need assistance please
contact us.\n\nJoin Areyvut for our annual Erev Yom Kippur Chesed Program
dedicated in memory of Eliyahu ben Moshe HaCohen and Chiena Miza bat Moshe
\, Edward and Mitzi Traurig. The Traurig's were active leaders in their co
mmunity and represented the values that Areyvut seeks to teach. May their
memory be for a blessing and the chesed done in their memory bring an aliy
ah to their previous neshamot.\n\nThe Erev Yom Kippur Chesed Program is a
drop off program geared for children in pre-kindergarten through 4th grade
\, although children of all ages are welcome and of course parents too are
welcome to stay.\n\nThe program will be taking place in the Beit Midrash
at Ma'ayanot Yeshiva High School for Girls and we thank them for their par
 tnership\, hospitality\, kindness and generosity.\n\nThis program is a won
derful way to spend some time before Yom Kippur and to teach your children
the importance of actively doing good\, helping others and giving back. P
rojects will benefit communal agencies and participants will be able to ta
ke some projects home to enhance their chagim experience.\n\nThis year fea
tures fun and meaningful projects and an awesome magic show with Joshy K!\
n\nPlease note that we strongly suggest that you do not send your child in
new or special clothing and when getting them dressed know that they may
get dirty and plan accordingly.  Additionally\, while our staff and volun
teers will do our best making sure that everything and everyone is clean a
nd will have t-shirts that your child can wear on top of their clothes\, w
e strongly suggest talking with you child before sending them to the progr
am about making sure that if they are dirty to use the paper towels\, wipe
s and to be sure to wash their hands with soap and water as to not get the
mselves\, their clothes and/or get anything else dirty and we remind you t
hat you are more than welcome to stay and attend\, observe and participate
in the program.\n\nThe fee is $25 per participant. \n\nPlease note that w
e have never raised the price for this event even as other comparable prog
rams have annually and we run this program to a) actively engage kids from
a young age in doing good and b) to provide parents some time to prepare
for Yom Kippur while knowing your child is safe\, having fun and meaningfu
lly engaged.  Our direct costs for this program have increased a great de
al over the years and your fee covers our expenses including renting the v
enue\, all project related supplies\, snacks and the awesome magic show.\n
\nWe therefore ask that you please support our commUNITY unity and buildin
g programs and you actively include Areyvut in your Erev Yom Kippur charit
able giving. All donations and sponsorships are tax deductible. Every dono
r will receive our sincerest gratitude\, appreciation and a thank you and
acknowledgement letter for tax purposes. \n\nWe had to turn people away l
ast year and anticipate filling up again this year. Therefore\, we encoura
ge you to reserve now to book your spot.\n\nBy participating in this progr
am you grant Areyvut permission to post pictures of your child for PR purp
oses.\n\nWe wish you an easy and meaningful fast and encourage you to use
these resources to enhance your experience and have a meaningful dialogue
with your family.\n\nFor more information and/or to arrange an Areyvut pro
gram in your synagogue\, school or community\, please contact us at (201)
244-6702 or info@areyvut.org.\n\n\n\nWe encourage all those that see this
to participate in this Spice Drive coordinated by a family with close ties
to Areyvut.  Those attending the Erev Yom Kippur Chesed Program can brin
g their spices to the event.\n\n
