H.O.P.E. 2012

For the third year in a row, a select group of 7th grade students participated in the H.O.P.E. Program at Yeshivat Noam.  The group, comprised of 18 students, learned about philanthropy, tzedakah, charitable giving and volunteerism.

This year's participants were interested in allocating their funding to organizations dealing with the environment.  Together as a group the participants decided to donate $1,180 to City Green to help them build green spaces for inner-city youth and $620 to the Jewish National Fund to help with its water projects benefiting Israeli school children.

Throughout the program year the students learned a great deal about what it means to "give Jewishly", work collaboratively and unite for a common goal.
