Chesed Fairs

Areyvut has worked with numerous schools, synagogues and community centers to bring Chesed Fairs to children and teenagers throughout the United States.

Representatives work closely with community leaders to create and facilitate Chesed Fairs to engage children and teenagers in community service projects and volunteerism.  Each Chesed Fair is tailor-made to match the needs of each community.  Areyvut staff members work with representatives from a variety of community service organizations.  These representatives attend the Chesed Fairs with a great amount of knowledge about their organization and more specifically about the volunteer opportunities that are available for students.  Teenagers have the chance to learn about on-going and one time volunteer opportunities as well as fundraising.

Younger students also have the chance to engage in hands-on service projects.  Students who attend a Hands-on Chesed Fair have the opportunity to create projects that benefit individuals in their community.  From writing letters to American soldiers serving overseas, to creating tissue paper flowers for nursing home residents, to decorating hats for children who are ill - a fun and fulfilling time is always had by all.
